LIEUT. ALBERT ELLIS

Another Civil War Veteran Dead.

The funeral of the late Albert Ellis, whose death occurred at noon yesterday, will take place tomorrow from his late residence, corner East and Main streets, the body to be taken from the house to the Christian church, where the sermon will be preached by Rev. Franklin P. Smith. The deceased was a gallant soldier in the Union army, serving with honor as lieutenant of Co. A, 65th Indiana regiment. During the past few years of his residence in Madison he was a member of Alois O. Bachman Post No. 26, G.A.R., and as a citizen he was much respected. He was eighty-four years of age. He leaves a widow and three children--Rev. Gilbert J. Ellis and Misses Helen and Alma Ellis, all of Knoxville, Tenn.
