Mondolea "Monty" Raines, age 78 passed away after a lengthy illness on Saturday, August 11, 2012, at her home in Falls Church, VA. Born September 23, 1933 in Hardy Co., WV she was a daughter of the late Noah and Lucy (Helmick) Whetzel.
She was the beloved wife of the late Charles Raines whom preceded her in death in July 2004; mother of Charles Raines, Jr. and Diana Dean; grandmother of Amanda Dean and Jessica and Matthew Raines; and great-grandmother of Nathan and Mckenzie Dean and sister of Evolena Bergdoll. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Geraldine Reel & Kathleen Kerr and a brother Wayne Whetzel.
