Mary and Franz had two sons, Eugene Itrich born in 1894, and Herbert Antone Itrich born in 1896. Mary and Franz lived in San Francisco until their deaths in the 1930s, Herbert working as a master carpenter. They are buried in adjacent plots at San Francisco National Cemetery.
