She was born on November 27, 1915 in Adrian, Michigan to Cornelius and Sarah Walworth. She has lived in Arizona for over 84 years.
Mildred obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Library Science from the University of Arizona. She was a homemaker and very involved in First United Methodist Church. She was past president of the womens group there and also heavily involved in the PEO. Mildred loved to play bridge, read and was an avid sports fan. She attended a DBacks game only a week ago! In her younger days she enjoyed needlepoint and sewing. Mildred and Olen loved to travel and visited every state in the U.S. as well as several countries. Mildred is preceded in death by her beloved husband Olen in 2001.
She is survived by her daughter Martha King, sons; Floyd Sharp (Lorraine) and Bruce Sharp (Karen), sister Marian Hill, grandchildren; Kimberly Davenport (Chuck), Kristina Carvajal (Marcos), Katrina Herron (Chuck), Teresa Kelly (Robert), Jennifer Bolander (Darren), Brett Sharp (Charlene) and Megan Sharp, 22 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 13th, 8-9 am with the Funeral service at 9:00 am at Red Mountain United Methodist Church, 2936 N. Power Road.
Burial will follow in Mesa City Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the PEO or the church. She will be dearly missed.
