She was the daughter of Eli and Catherine (Michener) Kennard. She was born March 3, l8ll in York County. Pennsylvania. She married Reuben McVey August 2, l827 in Athens County, Ohio Elizabeth was a Quaker and the February l6, l828 records show she was removed from the Deerfield Monthly Meeting, Morgan County, Ohio for marrying out of their faith.
