DONNA MAE ZIPPERER

Donna M. Zipperer, age 72, of 1915 N. Eighth St., Manitowoc, died on Friday
morning, June 29, 2007, at the Manitowoc County Health Care Center.
The former Donna Kiel was born on Oct. 5, 1934, at Branch, daughter of the late
Norman and Mildred Andres Kiel. She attended the Sunny Slope School and was a
graduate of Valders High School. She then attended school in Minnesota to become
a lab and X-ray technician. Donna worked as a senior lab and X-ray technician
for Memorial Hospital in Manitowoc, Maplecrest Sanitarium in Whitelaw, Manitowoc
Clinic, and retired in July of 2006, after 52 years in the medical field from
Park Medical Clinic in Manitowoc. On Oct. 22, 1955, Donna was married to
Clarence J. Zipperer at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kellnersville. Clarence
preceded her in death on July 27, 1981. Donna was a member of St. Francis of
Assisi Parish and the Radiology Association.
Donna enjoyed her children and grandchildren and all sporting events that included
them. She also enjoyed playing cards, camping, traveling and taking casino trips.
Survivors include her seven children: Glenn (Karen) Zipperer of Sheboygan: Dale (Jennifer) Zipperer of Manitowoc; Vickie (Bill) O'Connor of Manitowoc; Gary Zipperer of Manitowoc; Joy (John) Ruzek of Manitowoc; Cindy (Todd) Schneider of Manitowoc; Tom (Judy) Schneider of Manitowoc; 20 grandchildren: Tabitha Zipperer, Melissa Zipperer; Adam Petersen; Andrew Zipperer, Kendra Zipperer, Kaylee Zipperer; Kristin Oestreich and her special friend, Doug O'Dell; Casey (Becky) O'Connor, Carrie O'Connor; Jacob Zipperer, Carlie Zipperer and her special friend, Barry Hartman; Caitlin Zipperer; Michael Ruzek, Travis Ruzek; Nicole Schneider and her special friend, George Stover; Matt Schneider, Tyler Schneider; Ryan Zipperer, Briana Zipperer, Taylor Zipperer; one brother: Terry Kiel of St. Nazianz and his special friend, Beth Winkel; three sisters and one brother-in-law: Jean Stevens of Kendalville, Ind.; Pat (Harold) Meyer of Reedsville; Mary Ellen Kiel of Reedsville; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law include: Jerome (Bonnie) Zipperer of Manitowoc; Art Zipperer of Cato and his special friend, Grace; LeRoy (Donna) Zipperer of Whitelaw; Jeanette (Leroy) Remiker of Two Rivers; Bernadine Zipperer of Cato; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Clarence; her parents: Norman and Mildred
Kiel; five brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law: Norbert Zipperer; Ed (Margaret)
Kohlmann; Clara Zipperer; Helmar (Lorretta) Franzen; John (Arlene) Kocourek; Ray
(Rose) Zipperer.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2007, at St. Francis
of Assisi on Waldo. The Rev. Dan Felton will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial,
with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call at Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Manitowoc
on Monday, July 2, 2007, from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday at the church from 9 a.m.
until the time of service at 11 a.m.
There will be a parish prayer service on Monday at the funeral home at 8 p.m.
A special thank you to the staffs of St. Mary's Medical Center of Green Bay, Green
Bay Heart Care, Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, and the Manitowoc Health Care
Center, for all the compassionate care shown to our mother and her family.
