Rose M. Zankle, 90, formerly of 1433 N. 6th Street, Manitowoc, died Wednesday
afternoon, February 24, 1988 at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc. Funeral
services will be 9:30 am Saturday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 am at St.
Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated by Rev. James Stamborski and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
Mrs. Zankle was born November 20, 1897 at Two Rivers, daughter of the late Joseph
and Mary Karkow Mueller. She married Edmund Zankle on August on August 27, 1917
at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on January 4,
1975. Mrs. Zankle was employed at Schuette Brothers as a Sales Clerk until
retiring in 1977.
Survivors include a son and two daughters-in-law, Francis and Diane Zankile of
Woodstock, Illinois, and Mrs. James (Ann Marie) Zankle of Manitowoc; a brother
and two sisters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Mueller of Milwaukee and Anna Hoff
of Manitowoc; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, nieces, nephews,
other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a son, James; a daughter,
Elaine; a brother, Joseph; a sister, Lillian; a son-in-law, Anthony Gospodarek and
a grandson, Roger Gospodarek.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, 4 pm to 9 pm Friday where a prayer service
will be at 7 pm by Rev. James Stamborski.
