FRANK W. ZAHORIK (d. 1949)
Frank W. Zahorik, 81 (above), retired shipyard employe, died Friday afternoon
at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank W. Khail, of 931 North 11th street,
with whom he resided. He had been ill the past year.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Mittnacht-Kollath funeral
home, the Rev. C. H. Phipps officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. Zahorik was born in Franklin, Kewaunee county, in 1868 and in 1892 married
Miss Anna Skubal. They lived at Sheboygan three years, operated a farm near Tisch
Mills for 10 years and then came to this city. He was employed as an engineer at
the Manitowoc Ship Building company for 35 years, retiring in 1944. He was a
member of the International Brotherhood of Engineers.
The couple observed its golden wedding in 1942. Mrs. Zahorik died in 1943.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Khail of this city; two sons, Daniel and Roger of
this city; sister, Mrs. Joseph Lukes of Denmark; five grandchildren and two great-
grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home after Sunday noon.
