Mr. Arvin L. Zahorik, 78, of 1223 S. 8th Street, Manitowoc, died Saturday morning, September 21, at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Urbanek and Schlei Pfeffer and Reinbold Funeral Home, and 10 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Gerald Prusakowski O.F.M. and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Zahorik was born June 20, 1907, in the Town of Franklin, Manitowoc County, son of the late John J. and Hilda Hoyer Zahorik. He was educated in the Town of Franklin Schools and was employed at A & P White House Milk Company for 20 years, retiring in 1965. He married Laura Hynek on November 4, 1925, at St. Boniface Catholic Church. Since his retirement, Mr. Zahorik has restored and refinished antique furniture. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Laura; two sons and daughters-in-law, Earl E. and Beverly Zahorik of Cedarburg, Wisconsin, and Dr. John and Lois Zahorikof Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin; two daughters and sons-in-law, Arlene and Ed Trochlell of Manitowoc and Carol and William Berglund of Sturgeon Bay; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Olive Luedtke and Mrs. Ann Foreyt of Manitowoc, ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Pfeffer and Reinbold Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 5 o'clock to 9 o'clock this Monday afternoon where a prayer service will be at 7 o'clock led by Rev. Gerald Prusakowski.
