JOHN ZAGRODNIK
John S. Zagrodnik, Jr. 70, of 2009 Hamilton St., Manitowoc, died Friday, Aug. 31, at Brighton, Colo.
Funeral services will be held 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Parkside Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Harold Berryman will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Zagrodnik was born Sept. 3, 1908, at Manitowoc, son of the late John and Anna Frozena Zagrodnik, Sr. He was educated at St. Mary Catholic Grade School and attended Lincoln High School. He married Martha Decker May 20, 1930, at Manitowoc. She preceded him in death Oct. 25, 1970. He was a pattern maker with Manitowoc Company for 28 years, retiring in 1975. Mr. Zagrodnik was a member of the Pattern Makers League of North America and St. Mary Parish. He was a former member of the Holy Name Society.
Survivors include three sons, Dale of New Holstein, John of Manitowoc, and Dennis of Greenfield; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Dorothy Ann) Gassert of North Glenn, Colo.; two brothers, Edwin of Manitowoc, and Albert of Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs. Siegfried (Josephine) Kadow of Manitowoc, and Catherine Zagrodnik of Manitowoc; nine grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Friends may call at Parkside Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
