Fred Zabel, 48, 111 North Fifth street, lifelong resident of Manitowoc, died
suddenly of a heart attack Sunday afternoon at his home.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Shimek and Schwartz
funeral home, the Rev. Paul Blaufuss officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen
cemetery.
Mr. Zabel was born in Reedsville in 1895 and when a young man came to this city.
For 25 years he was a salesman at the LaBreche store, North Eighth street.
Survivors are the widow, the former Hazel Satterburg; two sons, John, at Fort
Omaha, Nebr., Frederick, Milwaukee; brother, John, of this city; two sisters,
Mrs. George Dehn, Green Bay, Mrs. William McKenzie, Milwaukee.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home after seven o'clock tonight.
