Frank C. Wiedeman, 71, of 234 S. 40th Street, Manitowoc, died Saturday,
December 17, 1988, at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home
and 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian
Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Eugene Brocktrup and burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Military graveside rites will be accorded by
American Legion Drews Bleser Post No. 88.
Mr. Wiedeman was born February 9, 1917, at Milwaukee, son of the late Frank M.
and Eita Teague Teague Wiedeman. He was a 1935 graduate of Wauwatosa High
School. He then continued his education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Mr. Wiedeman served with the United States Army during World War II in Europe,
being in service from 1943-1945 in the Infantry Division. He was self-employed
as an Independent Manufacturers Representative covering several states. In 1960
he became employed with Pepsi Cola Co. in Milwaukee working in the Accounting
Department until retiring in 1983. In 1984 he moved to Manitowoc at his present
address where he has resided since. He married Norma Swetlik on May 11, 1945,
at Milwaukee. He was a member of the American Legion Drews Bleser Post No. 88
of Manitowoc and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Norma; two daughters and a son-in-law, Patricia and
Daniel Compton of Milwaukee and Jan Adelmann of Manitowoc; seven grandchildren,
seven great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death
by a son-in-law, John Adelmann and a granddaughter, Stacey Lea.
Friends may call at Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday
where a prayer service will be at 7 p.m. led by Father Brocktrup.
