EMIL A. VETTER

Emil A. Vetter, 78, of 619 S. 28th St., Manitowoc, died unexpectedly Saturday evening at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Private family funeral services will be Tuesday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Norval W. Kock will officiate with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Vetter was born Jan. 20, 1898, in the Town of Liberty, son of the late Peter and Augusta Post Vetter. He was educated in the Town of Liberty and married to Amanda Goeke Oct. 1, 1921 in the Town of Centerville. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1971. Mr. and Mrs. Vetter farmed in the town of Newton for 13 years and he was employed at Manitowoc Shipbuilding Inc. as a machine operator for 30 years, retiring in 1964. Mr. Vetter was a member of First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc, and Boiler Makers Union Local 443.
Survivors include his wife, a son and daughter-in-law, Norman and Stella Vetter, of Belvedere, Ill.; a daughter and son-in-law, Dolores and LeoVan Dornick, of Manitowoc; a brother, Michael, and a sister, Mrs. Hedwig Goeke, of Manitowoc and five grandchildren. Five brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to First German Evangelical Lutheran Church or United Heart Fund.
Survivors include his wife, a son and daughter-in-law, Norman and Stella Vetter, of Belvedere, Ill.; a daughter and son-in-law, Dolores and Leo Van Dornick, of Manitowoc; a brother, Michael, and a sister, Mrs. Hedwig Goeke, of Manitowoc and five grandchildren. Five brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.
