Myrle G. Vandenplas, age 85, a resident of Shady Lane Nursing Home, Manitowoc,
entered into eternal life on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010.
Myrle was born on July 27, 1924, in Stronghurst, Ill., to the late Harvey and
Ruby (Trovillo) Smith. She married Francis A. Vandenplas in Illinois. Francis
preceded her in death on Dec. 29, 2005. Myrle and Francis traveled the 48 states
and Canada, and also hunted and fished together. She loved drawing, painting and
sculpture work.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, at the
Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service
at 11 a.m. The Rev. Daniel Schuster will officiate with burial to take place at
Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets,
Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
