Edward P. Van Serke, 77, of 1500 N. Third St., Manitowoc, died Sunday evening,
Aug. 10, at Holy Family skilled Nursing Facility, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 a.m.
at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Harold Berryman will officiate
and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Van Serke was born June 10, 1903, at Ashland, Wis., son of the late John and
Helen Kluck Van Serke. He married Gladys Schraudenbach in August, 1945, at
Milwaukee. After their marriage they resided at Milwaukee, where he was employed
as a painter and following his retirement they moved to Lily, Wis., returing to
Manitowoc in 1969.
Survivors include a brother Carl Van Serke of Manitowoc, three sisters, Mrs.
Louise Brady, Mrs. Frances Becker and Mrs. Alvin (JoAnne) Klein of Manitowoc and
nieces and nephews. Five brothers preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, where a prayer
service will be at 7:30 p.m.
