NETTIE A. VANPROOYEN

Mrs. Nettie Van Proyn (sic) widow of the late Martin Van Proyn,
died at her home at Grand Rapids, Mich., Sunday morning following
a brief illness. Death was due to pneumonia and the remains were
brought to this city for burial. The funeral was held yesterday
afternoon from the chapel at Evergreen cemetery and services were
by the Rev. Whitsift.
Mrs. Van Proyn, nee Nettie Besant was born at Watertown, Wis., and
as a child made her home in this city for many years. She left this
city about thirty years ago and at the time of her death had reached
the age of 57. She is survived by three sisters and one brother, Mrs.
Flora Pierce, of Chicago, Mrs. Albert Shaw of Milwaukee, Mrs.
Washburn Sturdevant, of Pasadena, Cal., and Walter Besant of this
city. Mrs. Flora Perce of Chicago and Mr. and Mrs. Shaw of Milwaukee,
were here to attend the funeral and have returned to their homes.
