John P. (Jack) Van Ells, age 42, of 4304 E. Campbell Ave., Phoenix, Ariz., died unexpectedly on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, in Phoenix.
Jack was born on Oct. 17, 1965, son of the late Raymond and Jean (Wimmer) Van Ells. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Manitowoc, class of 1983, and a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y. Jack enjoyed practicing his culinary expertise throughout the world.
Survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law: Michael and Sharon Van Ells, Green Bay, and William and Vickie Van Ells, Whitelaw; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Mary Van Ells, Manitowoc; Lynn and Greg Tisler, Manitowoc; and Jill and Jerry Nowak, Roberts; nieces and nephews: Brianna (Chad) Neuser; Ross Segler; Marisa Tisler; Michelle (Steve) Classon; Nicole (Gamy) Lozano; Danielle (Matt) McLane; and Olivia and Samantha Van Ells; and grandnieces and grandnephews: Reed Neuser; Isabella and Madison Classon and Andreas Lozano. Jack is also survived by uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and many friends, including his beloved pet dog, Lucy.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 10, 2007, at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Dan Felton.
The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, from 4 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 10, 2007, until the time of the memorial service at 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jack's name to the Humane Society of your choice.
Jack was a fun-loving guy, whose contagious laugh will be greatly missed. We truly loved you, Jack, and will never forget you.
