Marjorie E. Valleskey, age 91, a Manitowoc resident, died Thursday morning,
Dec. 25, 2008, at Lutheran Living Services of Wauwatosa.
The former Marjorie Eva Youngchild was born on Oct. 28, 1917, at Nekoosa,
daughter of the late Edgar and Eva Brooks Youngchild. She grew up in Manitowoc
and was a 1935 graduate of Lincoln High School. On July 31, 1937, Marjorie
married Norbert W. "Nubbs" Valleskey at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church
in Greenleaf with the Rev. Wilmer Valleskey officiating. He preceded her in
death on Jan. 1, 1991. She was employed at Shady Lane Home as a secretary and
later at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay as a library assistant until her
retirement in 1979. Marjorie is a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Norbert; one son-in-law:
Richard R. Jagodinski; two brothers: Jack Youngchild, Charles Youngchild; three
sisters-in-law: Verna Youngchild, Elsie Valleskey, Ruth Fender; three brothers-
in-law: Roman Valleskey, the Rev. Wilmer Valleskey, Aron Valleskey.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008, at Grace
Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2426 N. Rapids Road, Manitowoc. The Rev. Thomas
Pankow will officiate with burial to follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. Relatives
and friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of
services at 11 a.m. Memorial donations would be appreciated for Grace Evangelical
Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral
