Mr. Twitchell, who has been living in Wood's building for the past year, lost
a little boy aged five years, last Friday. The child was taken sick suddenly
and died within twenty-four hours of brain fever. The father is on the lake as
first mate on the City of Fremont, and has been telegraphed for, but thus far
the sad nexs (sic) has not reached him. The child was an unusually bright little
fellow, and his sudden death is a sad blow for the parents.
