CHARLOTTE H. TREAT

Mrs. E. B. Treat, Former Resident Here, Dead at Los Angeles
Mrs. E. B. Treat, widow of late E. B. Treat, one of the early residents of the
city and former district attorney of county, is dead at Los Angeles, Cal. where
Mrs. Treat had made her home for years past. The message, which was received by
E.G. Nash from Charles Treat, son of the decedent, says that the body will later
be brought to Manitowoc for burial at the side of her husband.
Mrs. Treat was past 70 years of age and death was due to pneumonia. She is sur-
vived by two sons, Mr. Treat, who was prominent as an attorney, died here in
1880.
Mrs. Treat’s body will be placed in a receiving vault at Los Angeles and later
will be accompanied here by her two sons.

Messrs. Charles and William Treat will be guests at the home of Mrs. Charles F.
Smalley, 419 Park street, upon their arrival from Los Angeles, Cal., May 15,
where they will be pleased to meet friends. The Messrs. Treat are coming here
with the body of their mother, the latter Mrs. Charlotte Treat, who will be
buried in the city.

Charles and William Treat, of Los Angeles, arrived here last evening, accompanying
the body of their mother, Mrs. E.B. Treat, which will be interred at Evergreen
tomorrow. Services will be held at the cemetery.
Pallbearers were Michael Kirwan, J.S. Anderson, L.J. Nash, Emil Baensch, H.L.
Markham and E.G. Nash. The Messrs. Treat are guests at the home of Mrs. C.F.
Smalley.
