Carol Hedrick, age 49, of Franksville, Wis., died on Tuesday, March 4, 2003 at St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee after a lingering illness. Cremation followed and a private family gathering was held.
Carol was born Jan. 25, 1954 in Manitowoc, daughter of Harold and Geraldine (Gadzinski) Thomley. She was a 1972 graduate of Lincoln High School. Carol graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in music from Silver Lake College and earned her master's degree in music from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Carol taught music for 20 years and was music director for the Franklin School District. She and her husband, David Hedrick, also owned and operated apartment complexes in the Racine area.
Survivors include her husband; her parents; two brothers: David (Kris) Thomley of Montello, Wis., and Richard (Mary) Thomley of Leominster, Mass.; nephews: Travis and Peter; nieces: Kathleen and Kristen Thomley; her aunt: Eleanor Pilger; uncle: John Gadzinski; two step-children-in-laws: Ray and Wanda Hedrick of Grafton; and many cousins, relatives and friends.
Music was an important part of Carol's life. She will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.
