VERNON TABBERT

Vernon A. Tabbert, 54, who made his home with Sophia Touhey at 1924 Menasha Ave., Manitowoc, died late Saturday evening, July 16, at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Urbanek and Schlei, Pfeffer and Reinbold Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Leo J. Schmitt and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Tabbert was born May 1, 1929, at Fond du Lac, son of the late Frank and Elsie Ludwig Tabbert. He grew up and was educated in Fond du Lac area, moving to Manitowoc in 1962 and making his home with the Touheys. He was a member of Manitowoc Gladioia Society(sic).
Survivors include his foster mother, Sophia Touhey of Manitowoc; four brothers, Frank Tabbert Jr. of Reno, Nev., Norman Tabbert of Fond du Lac, Orville Tabbert of Rockton, Ill., and Edward Tabbert of Fond du Lac, and two sisters, Mrs. Kneeland (Louise) Sass of North Fond du Lac, and Mrs. Otis (Marilyn)Sass of Eden.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei, Pfeffer and Reinbold Funeral Home from 6 o'clock to 9 o'clock this Monday evening where a prayer service will be at 7:30 o'clock led by Deacon Don Gigure.
