Agnes A. Swokowski, age 100, a resident of the Manitowoc Health Care Center for the past 12+ years, died early Thursday morning, Oct. 28, 2004, at the center. She was born Jan. 8, 1904, in Two Rivers, daughter of the late John and Rose Pribil Reindle. On May 8, 1926, she married William (Happy) Swokowski at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death Sept. 6, 1988. Survivors include a son: William Swokowski, Manitowoc; two nieces: Sharon (Reindle) Wayer, Grand Rapids, Mich.; Delores (Reindle) Walker; and a nephew: Duane Reindle and his wife, Sandy, Grand Rapids, Mich. She was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law: Gwendoline Swokowski in 1992; two brothers: John and Benjamin; and a nephew: Jerry Reindle. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004, at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center and 10 a.m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Gerald Foley with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Friends may call at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday (TONIGHT), where a prayer service will conclude the visitation at 7 p.m. led by Deacon Paul Kieffer. Special thanks to Dr. John MacDonald, Dr. Tresa Teehan, Dr. Richard Theobald and a special thanks to nurse practitioner, Amy Schleunes for the wonderful care they provided for Mom. Special thanks also to the whole staff of the Manitowoc Health Care Center for the excellent care given to Mom the 12+ years she was there.
