COL PIONEER DIES AT HOME AT NEWTON, 69
After an illness of a few weeks duration, Ms. August Stock of Newton passed
away at her home Saturday.
The deceased was born in the town of Centerville sixty nine years ago. In 1833[sic]
she married August Stock and the couple lived on a farm in Newton during their
married life.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Stock is survived by four daughters, Mrs. John Janing,
Centerville, Mrs. E. W. Fehring, Chicago, Mrs. Reuen Helse, Manitowoc, Mrs.
William Funkel, Owen, Wis., one son, Albert and six grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at one thirty o’clock from the home and at
two o’clock from the Reformed church at Centerville with the Rev. Froneberg
officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. Stock was an active member of the Ladies Aid Society of the church.
