CHRISTINA STIPEK
Mrs. Anton Stipek, 70, of 1821 Michigan Ave., Manitowoc, died Tuesday at Holy
Family Hospital, Manitowoc. She has been ill several months and had been
hospitalized a day.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home,
Manitowoc. The Rev. Robin E. Butler will officiate and burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Stipek, the former Christina Havlinek, was born July 15, 1894, at Reifs
Mills, daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy Havlowitz Havlinek. She was
married June 1, 1920, to Anton Stipek at Manitowoc and the couple always resided
here where Mr. Stipek was a carpenter-contractor. Mr. Stipek died in 1959.
She was a member of the Senior Citizens Club, American Legion Auxiliary and the
Silver Anniversary Club of the American Legion.
Surviving are a son, Louis, and a daughter, Mrs. Charles R. (Gladyce) Robinson,
of Manitowoc, two brothers, Frank, of Two Rivers and Adolph of Reifs Mills, a
sister, Mrs. Joseph Stipek, of Branch and three grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Thursday.
