LLOYD C. SIMONS

Lloyd Simons, U-2-R, Custerdale, died Monday at the Wisconsin General Hospital,
Madison, on the 48th anniversary of his birth. He suffered a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, at 2 p.m.
Thursday with Rev. M.J. Roehrdanz of Two Rivers, officiating. Interment will be
in Evergreen Cemetery.
Born in Antigo, Wis., in 1903, Mr. Simons moved to Manitowoc at the age of 14.
He later moved to Milwaukee, returning to Manitowoc 10 years later. He married
the former Velma Watkins in 1937. He was an employe of the Manitowoc Shipbuilding
Company and a member of the Boilermakers local union 443.
Survivors include: his wife; his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Simons of Manitowoc;
three brothers, Earl of Milwaukee, Roland of Manitowoc, and Harold of Beloit; and
three sisters, Mrs. Stanley Gunderson of Two Rivers, Mrs. Abe Peronto and Mrs.
Ethel Rosenow both of Manitowoc.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
