William Shaffer, 47, of Branch, died Saturday afternoon at the Holy Family
hospital following an operation. He was born at Branch December 23, 1894,
and has lived there all his life. He was assistant postmaster and affiliated
in business with the Shaffer store and tavern.
Survivors are one brother, Ben of Branch and two sisters, Mrs. Reinhold Clusen,
Route 5, and Mrs. Charles Etzler, San Francisco.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon from the Wattawa, Urbanek and
Schlei Funeral home and the body can be viewed there until the time of services.
Burial will be at Evergreen cemetery.
