Mr. Erwin C. Severson, 84, of 2515 Western Avenue, Manitowoc, died early
Thursday morning, May 14, 1987 at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 12:30 pm Saturday at Harrigan Parkside Catholic
Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by
Rev. Ronald Reimer with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Severson was born March 21, 1903 at Crandon, Wisconsin, son of the
late Olie and Julianna Severson. Mr. Severson owned and operated
Severson Electric in Manitowoc from 1946 until his retirement in 1982.
He married the former Gwendolyn Josephs on August 5, 1921 at Appleton.
She preceded him in death June 13, 1982. Mr. Severson was a member of
St. Paul Catholic Church.
Survivors include two sons and three daughters-in-law, Martin F. and
Doris Severson of Manitowoc, Frederick A. and Beverly Severson of
Sheboygan and Mrs. Patricia Severson of Manitowoc; a brother, Roy
Severson of Port Huron, Michigan; 12 grandchildren, 17 great
grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends survive.
He was preceded in death by a son, Clyde Severson Jr. and a sister, Mrs.
Mae LaFrambois.
Friends may call at Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 4 pm
to 9 pm Friday. Prayer service will be held at 8 pm Friday evening led
by Deacon William Klein. Memorial fund has been established to Mr.
