Willard J. (Bill) Sershon, 76, of 5335 N. Hollywood Avenue, Whitefish Bay, died Sunday, March 31, at his residence.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Monica Catholic Church, Whitefish Bay. The Msgr. John Donovan will officiate with burial at 2 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Sershon was born December 22, 1908, at Kenosha, son of the late Lewis and Ann Sershon. He moved to Manitowoc at age 3 with his family. He married the former Stella Healy on June 8, 1935 at Manitowoc. The couple would have celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary this coming June. Mr. Sershon was a graduate of Lincoln High School in 1925 and graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1930. He started working for Mirro Aluminum Company in 1931 and retired as Sales Manager in 1971, after 40 years. The couple resided at Whitefish Bay for the past 29 years.
Survivors include his wife, Stella; a son and a daughter-in-law, Michael and Arlene Sershon of the Milwaukee area; a daughter, Sarah Sershon of Racine; a brother and a sister-in-law, Bradford and Ellen Sershon of Florida; a sister, Mrs. Robert (Anita) Cox of Appleton; a sister-in-law, Fany Healy, two grandchildren Ryan and Andrew, neices, nephews and other relatives and friends also survived.
Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home of Whitefish Bay was in chage (sic) of arrangements.
