MABEL J. SCHWARZ

Mrs. Mabel J. Schwarz, 88, a resident of Park Lawn Home, Manitowoc, formerly of
Manito Manor, Manitowoc, died Saturday morning, February 27, 1988 at Memorial
Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 11 am Tuesday at Reinbold Pfeffer
Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home. Rev. Bruce W. Hanstedt will officiate with
burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Schwarz was born June 2, 1899 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Philip and
Julia Strouf Grun. She grew up and was educated in Manitowoc, residing here all
her life. She married Arnold W. Schwarz Sr., on July 27, 1929 at Racine, Wisconsin.
He preceded her in death March 6, 1967. Mrs. Schwarz was a member of First Lutheran
Church, Manitowoc.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Arnold and Mary Schwarz of Manitowoc;
two daughters, Mabel and Edna Mae Jacox; a sister, Charlotte Lesperance of Lorain,
Ohio; three grandchildren, Mary and her husband, Paul Menges, Randy Schwarz and
Cheryl and her husband, Jay Goodman; six great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and
cousins survive. She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Reinbold Pfeffer Urbanek and Schlei State Street Chapel, 6 pm
to 9 pm Monday and Tuesday until the hour of service. Memorials would be appreciated
to the donor's choice.
