Hedwig (Hattie) Schwantz, 84, a resident of Manitowoc Health Care Center, died
Wednesday morning, January 31, 1990 at the Manitowoc Health Care Center. Funeral
services will be 1:30 pm Friday at Manitowoc Health Care Center Chapel. Rev.
Arno J. Wolfgramm will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
Hedwig was born April ?, 1905 at Manitowoc, daughter of the late Gustav and Louise
Strathmann Sachwatz. She grew up and was educated in Manitowoc and had been a
lifelong resident of Manitowoc. Hedwig was a member of First German Evangelical
Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a brother-in-law, Jack Lamb of Manitowoc; a guardian and nephew,
Kenneth Grall of Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was
also preceded in death by 3 sisters, a stepsister and 3 stepbrothers.
Friends may call at Manitowoc Health Care Center Chapel, 12 noon on Friday until
the time of services at 1:30 pm. Reinbold and Pfeffer Funeral Home, is assisting
the family with arrangements.
