EMIL SCHWANTZ

Emil P. Schwantz, 86, of Manitowoc Health Care Center, died Tuesday morning, Janaury 3, at Holy Family Hospital.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Urbanek and Schlei Pfeffer and Reinbold Funeral Home. The Rev. Alfred Klumb will officiate with burial at Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Schwantz was born January 16, 1897, at Manitowoc, son of the late Gustave and Bertha Busch Schwantz. He grew up and was educated in Manitowoc, living here all his life. Mr. Schwantz worked as a deckhand on the J.B. John, a cement boat, owned by Mudusa Cement Co., retiring in 1960.
Survivors include three step sisters, Rose M. Grall of Manitowoc, Heitti Schwantz of Manitowoc, and Mrs. Jack (Augusta) Lamb of Manitowoc, nieces and nephews also survived. He was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister, and a step sister.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Pfeffer and Reinbold Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 1 p.m. until the time of services on Thursday.
