Gladys Mae Schroeder, 87, a resident of Park Lawn Home, died Thursday, October 5,
1989 at Park Lawn. Funeral services will be 1 pm Saturday at Reinbold Pfeffer
Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Deacon William Klein will officiate
and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Schroeder was born June 4, 1902 at Eau Galle, Wisconsin, daughter of the
late George and Sarah Smith Price. She grew up and was educated at Chippewa
County, Wisconsin, moving to Manitowoc with her husband in 1930. She married
Herbert Belbeck in 1922, at Cornell Wisconsin. He preceded her in death in 1942.
She then married Glenn Schroeder in 1944 at Manitowoc. He preceded her in death
in 1966. Mrs. Schroeder was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Dianne Schroeder of
Colgate, Wisconsin; three daughters and a son-in-law, Mavis and Orin Marquis of
Waterville, Maine, Joan Vandenbusch of Manitowoc and Kay Levendusky of Manitowoc;
23 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a son, John
Belbeck; a sister and two brothers.
Friends may call at Reinbold Pfeffer Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc,
11 am Saturday until the time of services.
