Mrs. Herman Schrinner, 77, of 1017A Grand Ave., Manitowoc, died Monday morning
at Park Lawn Nursing Home, Manitowoc.
Private Christian Science services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Jens Funeral
Home, Manitowoc, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Schrinner, nee Althea Shaw, was born July 7, 1897, at Bay View, Wis.,
daughter of the late Albert and Eva Peasant? Shaw. She was married to Herman
Schrinner Sept. 26, 1923, at Milwaukee, residing at Milwaukee until 1933 when
they moved to Manitowoc to reside. She was employed as sales clerk and in the
office at the former Boston Store and Johnson Hills from 1941 until her
retirement in 1960. Mr. and Mrs. Schrinner celebrated their golden wedding
anniversary in 1973. She was a member of First Church of Christian Scientist,
serving as a former reader and in other capacities, a member of Manitowoc
Woman’s Club, Park Lawn, Shady Lane and Memorial Hospital auxiliaries and a
50-year member of Electa chapter Order of Eastern Star of Milwaukee. She was
a past president of Monday Music Club, Manitowoc Band and Orchestra Mothers and
Fox River Valley Band and Orchestra Mothers.
Survivors include her husband, two sons, Russell, of Ridgefield, Conn., and
Edward, of Madison and five grandchildren.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to First
Church of Christ Scientist. Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is in charge of funeral
arrangements.
