26, 1823 in Duesterbeek, Province of Pomerania, she came to America in 1858 with
her husband and 2 sons, August and Heinrich "Henry." They all settled in
Manitowoc
in June of 1858 and have resided here uninterruptedly ever since.
Son August Schimpf predeceased his mother about 15 years ago (circa 1882).
Mrs. Schimpf was survived by her sorrowing husband, her son Heinrich "Henry,"
and many friends and relatives.
Funeral services were Monday afternoon at the city cemetery, with the Pastor
Machmueller conducting.
