Charles J. Schrimpf, 83, formerly of 1310A S. 20th St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday
evening at Holy Family Extended Care Facility, Manitowoc.
Private funeral services will be Thursday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home,
Manitowoc. The Rev. Dale Tutje will officiate with burial in Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc
Mr. Schrimpf was born Oct. 27, 1891, in the Town of Kossuth, Manitowoc County,
son of the late John and Caroline Rumpf Schrimpf. He married Edna Ladwig
Dec. 24, 1914, at Manitowoc. Then to Manitowoc in 1926 where he was employed
at Wadhams Oil Co., now Mobile Oils Co., from March of 1930 until his retirement
in August of 1956. They observed their golden wedding anniversary in 1965. Mrs.
Schrimpf preceded him in death May 31, 1969. He was a member of Senior Citizens
of Manitowoc.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Claude G. and Winifred G.
Kapzelberger of Two Rivers and Daniel A. and Lorraine R. Rysticken of Manitowoc,
a sister, Mrs. Connie Ferch of Milwaukee and two grandsons, Peter and Chuck. Two
infant sons, two brothers and five sisters preceded him in death.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the
charity of the donor’s choice.
