MARTHA SCHRANK
Mrs. William Schrank, 68, of 1214 S. Ninth St., Manitowoc, died
Monday night at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc, following a lingering
illness.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. John Lutheran
Church, Newtonburg. The Rev. F.C. Kneuppel will officiate and burial
will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Schrank, the former Martha Lindemann, was born June 10, 1887,
in the Town of Liberty, daughter of the late Carl and Amelia Wienke
Lindemann. She was married Oct. 18, 1906, and the couple settled on
a farm in the Town of Newton. Mr. Schrank died in 1938 and Mrs.
Schrank came to Manitowoc a year ago to reside with a son in law and
daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Korte.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Harald Vetting and Mrs. Korte
of Manitowoc, three sons, Carl and Martin of Manitowoc and Elroy of
Rt. 4, Manitowoc; two brothers, Carl Lindemann of Denmark and Emil
Lindemann of Two Rivers; four sisters, Mrs. Henry Free of Rt. 4,
Manitowoc, and Mrs. Gustave Schrank, Mrs. George Madsen and Mrs.
Adolph Lender of Manitowoc; 14 grandchildren and a great grandchild.
Friends may call at the Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc,
afernoon Wednesday until 10 a.m. Thursday when the casket will be
moved to the church where the body will be in state until the hour
of service.
