Julius H. Schrank, ??, ???? Marshal St, Manitowoc, died at his home
Tuesday afternoon after a lingering illness. He had suffered a stroke
in February.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the First German Evangelical
Lutheran Church, Manitowoc, the Rev. L.H. Koeninger officiating. Burial
will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
He was born July 3, 1871, in Manitowoc, son of the late Frederick and
Martha Schellin Schrank, and always resided here. He was one of the eight
men who originally started work for the Aluminum Goods Manufacturing Co.
when it first organized and worked there all his life, retiring as a
foreman in 1948. On June 3, 1893, he married the former Margaret Rochey(sic)
of Manitowoc.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Robert Assmann (sic) of
Manitowoc; brother, Gustave of Manitowoc; five grandchildren and two great
grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after
2 p.m. Thursday to 10 a.m. Friday when the body will be moved to the church
to lie in state until the hour of service.
