Carl F. Schrank, 73, of 537 S. 30th St., Manitowoc, died Monday evening,
Jan. 17, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran
Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Larry Ellenberger will officiate and burial will
be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Schrank was born April 5, 1909, in the Town of Newton, son of the late
William and Martha Lindemann Schrank. He grew up and was educated in the Town
of Newton and married Priscilla K. Schreiber Oct. 13, 1934, at St. John United
Church of Christ at Schwarzwald. They moved to Manitowoc in 1941. He had been
self-employed as a painter and decorator all his life, retiring in 1973. He was
a charter member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church and a former trustee
of the church.
Survivors include his wife, Priscilla, a son, William and Marlen Schrank of
Manitowoc; six daughters, Janet Corbeil and Mrs. Lee (LaVerne) Corbeil of
Milwaukee, Mrs. Roger (Elnore) Krueger and Mrs. Norman (Pamela) Reichardt of
Brillion, Mrs. Lloyd (Donna) Ledvina of Sheboygan and Mrs. Edwin (Betty) Garlieb
Jr. of rural Kiel; two brothers, Elroy and Martin of Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs.
Harold (Elda) Vetting and Mrs. Kenneth (Dolores) Korte of Manitowoc, 19 grand-
children and three great grandchildren. A grandson and an infant sister preceded
him in death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Wednesday until 11 a.m. Thursday and at the church from noon until the time of
service.
