Mrs. August Schram, 60, of 2307A Washington St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday at
Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, after a four months' illness.
Funeral sevices will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at First German Evangelical
Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. N.W. Kock will officiate and burial will
be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Schram, nee Florence Knudson, was born Feb. 1, 1907, at Chicago, daughter
of the late Mr. and Mrs. Chris Knudson. She came to Valders with her parents
when three years of age, and was married there to Mr. Schram July 31, 1924.
The couple established residence at Manitowoc. She was a Gold Star Mother.
Survivors include the husband, a son and a daughter (Private), a brother, Philip,
of Manitowoc, two sisters, Mrs. Harold Christianson, of Manitowoc and Mrs.
Virginia Wittmus of Newton and five grandchildren. A son, Eugene, was killed in
military service in 1944 and three sisters and a brother also preceded her in
death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 3 p.m.
Wednesday until 10:30 a.m. Thursday when the casket will be taken to church
where the body will lie in state until the time of service.
