Center, Manitowoc, died Wednesday evening, May 27, 1987 at the Center.
Funeral services will be 2 pm Saturday at Redeemer Lutheran church,
Manitowoc. The Rev. Richard C. Miller will officiate and burial will be
in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Schoenwald was born September 20, 1901 at Manitowoc Rapids,
daughter of the late Herman and Emma Knospe Vogt. She attended
McAllister School, Manitowoc Rapids. She was married to Louis
Schoenwald, May 21, 1921 at Manitowoc. He preceded her in death in 1983.
Mrs. Schoenwald was a charter member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and
Ladies Aid and was a former member of Branch Homemakers.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and George
Zimmerman of Manitowoc; three grandchildren, Rev. Lee and Karen
Zimmerman of Hinckley, Minnesota, Lynn and Gerhard Meyer of Midland,
Michigan, and Lori and Lee Liverance of Nelson, Wisconsin; four great
grandchildren; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Esther Rockoff of
Arkansas City, Kansas, Emma Vogt of Tacoma, Washington and Ruth and
Harry Johansen of Tacoma, Washington; nieces and nephews. She was
preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Redeemer Lutheran Church, from noon Saturday until
the time of services. There will be no Friday evening visitation at the
Funeral home. Memorials may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church. Jens
