FREDERICK H. SACHSE

Frederick H. Sachse, age 93, a resident of Kindred Hearts in Manitowoc, died
on Monday, May 25, 2009, at Aurora Medical Center of Manitowoc County.
Fred was born on Nov. 1, 1915, in Newton, son of the late Henry and Ida (Rehbein)
Sachse. He graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1933. Fred
enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1942 and served in the Southwest Pacific and the
Philippines during World War II. He was employed at Whitehouse Milk Company for
38 years retiring in 1978. Fred was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran
Church, past director and president of A.A.L. Branch 2436 of Immanuel Lutheran,
life member of VFW Otto Oas Post 659 of Manitowoc, AARP and the Manitowoc Senior
Center.

He was preceded in death by three brothers: Allan, Murray, and Vincent Sachse;
four sisters: Shirley Jones, Alice Mrotek, Hermine Wendt, and Lucile Holtz; four
brothers-in-law: Roland Mrotek, Lawrence Jones, Ervin Holtz, and Reiny Wendt; two
sisters-in-law: Ann Sachse and Laura Sachse; one nephew: Ken Holtz.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 29, 2009, at Immanuel
Evangelical Lutheran Church, 916 Pine Street, Manitowoc. Revs. Paul Schossow and
Nicholas Maglietto will officiate. Military graveside services will be accorded
by the VFW Otto Oas Post 659 at Evergreen Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call at church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time
of services at 11 a.m.
The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Manitowoc is serving the Sachse Family.
Memorial donations would be appreciated to Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church,
Manitowoc Lutheran High School, or the donor's choice.
A special thank you to the staff of Kindred Hearts, North Ridge Medical and
Rehabilitation Center, and Aurora Medical Center of Manitowoc County for all the
compassionate care shown to Fred the past three years.
