Gerald J. Rydzewski, 59, of 702 MacArthur Drive, Manitowoc, died Sunday afternoon, June 12, at his residence.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Eugene Brochtrup and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Rydzewski was born Jan. 26, 1924, at Manitowoc, son of the late Martin and Mary Coblewski Rydzewski. He married Helen Klein, Oct. 13, 1943, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. He was a veteran, serving in the United States Navy during World War II. He was employed at Manitowoc Shipbuilding Inc., retiring in November of 1982, due to illness.
Survivors include his wife, Helen; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Darlene Rydzewski of Newton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Beth and David Johnson and Janet and Tony Vogel of Manitowoc; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Edwin and Margaret Rydzewski of Manitowoc, Martin and Theresa Rydzewski of Milwaukee, and Ralph and Bernice Ann Rdyzewski of Valders; three sisters, Esther Wenzel of Manitowoc, Violet Bebeau and Jerry Hennigner of Miwlaukee, three grandchildren, Sonja, Tessa and Abby, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patty.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday where a prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. led by Deacon Edward Buchner.
