Charles G. Rouse, 83, of 712 S. 18th St., Manitowoc, died at home Thursday
night after a heart attack.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Mittnacht Funeral Home,
Manitowoc. The Very Rev. Clement P. Kern will officiate and burial will be
in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Rouse was born Dec. 16, 1880, on a farm near Branch, Manitowoc County,
son of the late Joseph and Mary Simandel Rouse. He attended Branch township
school and as a young man was employed for a time at Manitowoc Glue Factory.
He became an engineer for Northern Grain Elevator Co., later Bartlett-Frazier
Co., and in 1946 was employed by Manitowoc Portland Cement Co. on a part-time
basis and by Memorial Hospital for several years.
He married Anna Kloida Sept. 12, 1905, at St. Boniface Catholic Church. She
survives along with a nephew, Clarence Krall, who makes his home since infancy
with Mr. and Mrs. Rouse and other nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Sunday where Manitowoc Odd
Fellows Lodge No. 55 will conduct a memorial rite at 7:30 p.m.
