LAURA C. ROEPKE
Miss Laura C. Roepke, 79, of 3285 N. Mt. View Ave., San Bernardino, Calif.,
died Thursday.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 Tuesday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home,
Manitowoc. The Rev. Norval W. Kock will officiate with burial in Evergreen
Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Miss Roepke was born Sept. 22, 1897, at Manitowoc, daughter of the late Herman
and Minnie Wernecke Roepke. She grew up at Manitowoc and attended Manitowoc
schools. She was a teacher at Manitowoc for many years and was principal of
Madison school from 1931 to 1945. In 1945 she moved to San Bernardino to make
her home and taught school there until her retirement. She was a member of
Trinity Lutheran Church, San Bernardino, a member of the Retired Teachers Assn.
and Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews. Four brothers and four sisters
preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday and
Tuesday until the time of service. Memorials may be made to the Heart Fund.
