ERNA ROEPKE

Mrs. Erna W. Roepke, 94, of 2410 Western Ave., Manitowoc, died early Thursday morning, June 16, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Arno J. Wolfgramm will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Roepke was born July 16, 1888, in Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Herman and Ottelia Schmidt Kieselhorst. She grew up and was educated at Manitowoc. She was married to Edwin D. Roepke, March 11, 1909, at Manitowoc. He preceded her in death June 19, 1965. Mrs. Roepke was a member of First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, and a charter member of Ladies Aid Society of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Newtonburg. She was among the first leaders of 4-H Clubs of Newtonburg and the Newtonburg Homemakers.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Edwin R. Roepke, and John and Marleen Roepke of Manitowoc; two daughters and a son-in-law, Erna H. Roepke and Deloris and Leonard Schuh of Manitowoc; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Arlene Roepke of Manitowoc; a son-in-law, Henry Herzog of Manitowoc; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Helen Roepke of Sheboygan; nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by a son, Herman; three daughters, Laurine Roepke, Marguerite Herzog, and Dorothy Czekala; four sisters and a grandson.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei, Pfeffer and Reinbold Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and at the church Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
