ERNA H. ROEPKE (d. 1994)
Erna H. Roepke, age 69, of 2410 Western Ave., Manitowoc, died Monday morning,
March 21, 1994, at Park Lawn Home, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 1994, at First
German Evangelical Lutheran Church. Revs. Arno Wolfgramm and Bruce Bitter will
officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
She was born October 11, 1924, in the township of Newton, Manitowoc County,
daughter of the late Edwin and Erna Kieselhorst Roepke. She grew up and was
educated in the town of Newton and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1943.
She started her employment with the Fischl Ice Cream and Dairy Company from 1943
until 1955. From 1956 until her retirement in 1984, she worked as a secretary
for the City of Manitowoc. She is a member of First German Evangelical Lutheran
Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Darlene Roepke, Manitowoc; one grandson, Justin
Tegelman, Manitowoc; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Edwin Roepke, Manitowoc,
John and Marleen Roepke, Manitowoc; one sister and brother-in-law, Deloris and
Leonard L. Schuh, Manitowoc; a sister-in-law, Arlene Roepke, Manitwooc; a friend,
Douglas Prahl, Manitowoc; neices, nepehws, other relatives and friends also
survive. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Laurine Roepke, Marguerite
Herzog and Dorothy Czekala, one brother, Herman Roepke.
Memorials would be appreciate to Manitowoc Lutheran High School.
There will be no visitation but friends and relatives are invited for lunch and
fellowship in the church hall following the services.
The Reinbold-Pfeffer Funeral Home is assisting the family with funeral
