Harold C. Rockhoff, 71, of 3212 School St., Two Rivers, died early Friday
afternoon at Two Rivers Municipal Hospital where he had been a patient for
one week.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Our Savior Lutheran Church,
Two Rivers. The Rev. A. L. Schmeling will officiate and burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Rockhoff was born March 16, 1897, at Manitowoc, a son of the late Fred W.
and Emma Franke Rockhoff. He attended First German Lutheran School and
graduated from Manitowoc High School after which he attended Northwestern
College, Watertown.
He married the former Pauline Mablock. The couple moved to Two Rivers where
they operated a grocery store on Madison Street, where Jerry’s Bakery is now
located. She died in September, 1941. After selling the store, he served as
relief director for the City of Two Rivers until a number of years ago when
he became cashier at C. Reiss Coal Co. from where he retired in 1962. He
married the former Ruth Rathke Wunrow on Nov. 7, 1948, at Cameron.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Dr. Karl Rockhoff of Oshkosh and the
Rev. James Rockhoff of Tawas City, Mich.; a daughter, Mrs. Gene Kanitz, of
Manitowoc; a brother, Rev. Oscar Rockhoff, of Two Rivers, and 10 grandchildren.
Friends may call at Deja and Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers, from 2 p.m.
Sunday until 10:30 a.m. Monday when the casket will be taken to the church to
lie in state until time of services.

Marriage of Harold/Pauline Rockhoff
The marriage of Harold C. Rockhoff and Miss Pauline Mahloch, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. John Mahloch of Collins, Wis., took place at Collins on Wednesday afternoon.
The bride is an estimable lady and the groom is a member of the firm of Schmidt &
Rockhoff, Southside grocers. The couple will be at home to friends in the city
after July 1.
