Laurie D. Robertson, 80, of 1602 Menasha Avenu, Manitowoc, died unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon, July 31, at home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. Rev. Glenn H. Unke will officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Robertson was born May 7, 1905, at Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, son of the late Michael and Josephine Barenson Robertson. He grew up and was educated in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin and later attended Barber School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mr. Robertson worked in various cities and moved to Manitowoc in 1928. Mr. Robertson was a barber and partner with William Zahn Sr., and later working for Ray Feltz as a barber, retiring in 1970. He married the former Dorothy A. Ziebell on June 4, 1933, at Manitowoc. Mr. Robertson was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church and United Commercial Travelers. Mr. Robertson enjoyed hunting, fishing and working outdoors.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; a brother and a sister-in-law, Arden and Margaret Robertson of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin; a sister and a brother-in-law, Myrtle and William Koehne of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin; two sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews also survived. He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Pfeffer and Reinbold Funeral Home, 9th Street Chapel, 5 o'clock to 9 o'clock this Thursday afternoon and Friday at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
