Madelyn G. Roberts, age 84, of 1855 New York Ave., Manitowoc, died Tuesday
evening, June 28, 2005 at the Aurora Medical Center of Manitowoc County.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2005 at the First
Presbyterian Church, 502 N. Eighth St., Manitowoc. The Rev. Richard Runge will
officiate with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Madelyn was born May 28, 1921 in Indianapolis, Ind., and was adopted by the
late Avery and Margaret Monninger Forbes. She grew up in Terre Haute, Ind., and
graduated from Garfield High School in 1939 in Terre Haute. On Sept. 23, 1944,
Madelyn was married to Frank H. Roberts in Terre Haute, moving to Manitowoc in
November 1944. Frank preceded her in death on Feb. 14, 1992. She was a 61-year
member of First Presbyterian Church.

Relatives and friends may call at the Jens Family Funeral Home and Crematory,
1122 S. Eighth St., Manitowoc, on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday at the
church from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated for the First Presbyterian
Church in Madelyn's name.
